Help Wauwatosa East Students Compete in a Worldwide Creativity Competition!

This month, 6 students from Wauwatosa East will go to the University of Tennessee to compete in a global competition against schools from 50 states and 40 countries in an event called “Destination ImagiNation.”

The trip will cost $10,000 and be paid for by fundraising efforts of students, parents and the Wauwatosa school system. We are asking a few prominent businesses in the area to sponsor our kids on their journey.

Please say yes to our request, and, if you have questions, call Jim Elliott, Wauwatosa parent, at 414-258-9141. You can also call Nadine Halligan at 414-771-9835. Thank you for your consideration of this wonderful program. You’ll find more information below.

Destination ImagiNation, Inc. is the world's largest non-profit creative problem solving organization. Its programs reach over 300,000 people in 50 states and over 40 countries. Their aim is to make the world a better place through creativity, problem solving and teamwork!

Wauwatosa elementary, middle and high school teams have been practicing and competing for Destination ImagiNation over the past 3 months. In April, two of our 12 teams won first place at the Regional competition in Germantown, Wisconsin. Then on April 17th the team from Wauwatosa East (the first team ever from East) won honor of representing Wauwatosa, KMDI and Wisconsin DI on the global stage.
